The advantages of our student accommodation
Reasonable all-inclusive rates (no hidden costs)
Our halls offer affordable living space. Compared nationally and in comparison to other agencies our rents are very reasonable. Of course the prices differ from the renovated to the not yet renovated halls. The good value double rooms are no longer in such great demand; the trend is going towards single rooms.
We are sure you would like to move into your "temporary home" as quickly as possible and with little fuss, so or rooms are generally fully-furnished including a bed, table, chair, wardrobe and desk.
Efficient Internet connection
This is a special service we offer in the rooms. Because today's student is very often "online" and would like to surf for a long time without being disturbed, we meet our students' wishes.
Sports and social facilities
There are sports, fitness and table tennis rooms in the cellars of many halls. In front of some areas for ball games have been built. There are barbecue facilities. Green areas and parks invite you to go jogging or skating.
Dresden is the city with the most student clubs - there are at least 20. Practically all of them are to be found in the halls of residence and enrich the nightlife there with discos, beer evenings, karaoke, slide shows or evenings organised by foreign students. As well as these there is the Klub Neue Mensa (KNM) in Bergstraße refectory and the Club Mensa in the Reichenbachstraße refectory and Dresden's most famous student club the Bärenzwinger near the Brühlische Terrasse.
Contact to fellow students and people from all over the world
Where else but in the halls of residence can one get to know so many other students studying different things and so many different nationalities? This colourful mixture makes it so attractive to live in this form of accommodation. You can make numerous contacts and friends and learn how to live together with other cultures.
Near to the university and inner city
The advantage of our accommodation as opposed to others is the closeness to the institutes and the city. Most halls are near to the TU campus and the HTW lecture halls and seminar rooms.
Good public transport system
A further advantage are the good links to the public transport system (buses, trams, S- Bahn). Also the short distance from the halls to the main railway station and the chance to use public transport at a reasonable cost (using the semester ticket) are important factors for choosing Dresden as a place to study.
