German ChitChat
Do you want to learn German and practice your skills? The International Affairs Department offers a new event format for you.
German language skills are essential for international students in Germany. Even if you‘re studying in English and haven't used German yet, German opens up a wide range of opportunities after graduation and helps you enter the job market. German is also important in all other areas of your life in Germany. This includes everyday activities such as shopping, contact with authorities (e.g., securing a residence permit), and making friends. German is the key to integration into German culture.
You don’t have many opportunities to speak German in your everyday student life? You don’t have any German-speaking friends, or you‘re simply too afraid to speak German? Then our new event is perfect for you.

"German ChitChat" is a series of events for all international students who (want to) learn German and want to practice their language skills. We meet every second Thursday of the month in the dormitory at Budapester Straße 24 to discuss various topics in German. But please note, we don't offer German lessons!
The events are open to all international students. All language levels are welcome, but basic German skills are recommended. There are no participation requirements, and the event is free of charge.
