Kammerorchester ohne Dirigenten Dresden e.V.

Kammerorchester ohne Dirigenten Dresden e.V. (“Dresden Chamber Choir Without a Conductor") was founded at the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Dresden (University of Applied Sciences) in 1967 and has about 20 members. The artistic leader is Olaf Torsten Spies (violin), a member of the Staatskapelle Dresden. Typical for the chamber orchestra is the style of musicianship following the Baroque style of play led by the first violin. The repertoire of this body of musicians, renowned far beyond Florence on the Elbe, spans a range of music from the Baroque to classical to contemporary compositions.
