Studentenwerk Dresden

VOCANO presents electrifying vocal pop and rousing sounds to celebrate, empathize, and recharge.

Founded in 2012 as the Dresden Jazz Choir, VOCANO is more authentic than ever before. The proof: in 2025, VOCANO will be awarded first prize in the pop/jazz category at the German Choir Festival.

Black folders remain in their niche during performances, because here choir music shows its modern side.

VOCANO stands for the power and passion of all singers, for warm bass sounds, rhythmic beatbox sounds, and strong soloists.

VOCANO thrives on a community of strong individuals who connect, support each other, organize choir work democratically, and thus grow steadily together.

VOCANO connects people regardless of origin, language, gender, or culture.

VOCANO is all this and much more! With its music, the choir wants to open hearts, inspire and touch people, and make the world a little brighter and warmer.
