Die Montagsgesellschaft
The Montagsgesellschaft is an open improvisational theater group at the TU Dresden where everyone is welcome. We meet once a week in the Weberbau to train together for two hours. Our rehearsals start with relaxed warm-ups, followed by concentrated practice of a specific skill. At the end, we always play a longer piece together. The direction is alternately in the hands of the experienced players.
We offer an energetic, cheerful get-together for newcomers and experienced improvisers alike! We place particular emphasis on mutual consideration, respect for personal boundaries and an inclusive atmosphere. We are guided by the basic principles of improv theater:
- “Yes, and...” (Accept ideas and build on them)
- “Let the others shine” (Give others room to shine)
- “Celebrate your mistakes” (Celebrate your mistakes - they make you unique!)
We offer everyone a creative space to use improv theater for their own artistic and personal development
