Tutors help international students get started in Dresden

The tutors of Studentenwerk offer support, advice and help - not only when moving into the residence hall.

Together with the care taker, the Welcome Tutors are the direct contact persons in the residence halls. The tutors are a group of students from a variety of countries who live in the dorms just like you and want to help you get started in Germany. On their Instagram channel, the Welcome Tutors of Studentenwerk Dresden give fitness tips, spread art appreciation, or make recipe suggestions, among other things.

With the student project International Coffee Hour (ICH), we support our guests from all over the world to get in touch with German students.  Due to the current situation, the ICH has to take place online in April. The first date for the welcome event is April 21, 6pm.

The FIF program wants to support international students to make friends with Dresden students. This way, both sides can learn and benefit from each other. FIF means "Find International Friends" and is a student project of the Studentenwerk Dresden. Our tutors arrange tandem partners for joint activities, to brush up on a foreign language or to get to know another culture.
