Published on Friday, 6.6.2025

On June 21, the Thea Maass Folklore Dance Ensemble of the TU Dresden will celebrate its 75th anniversary at the Comödie Dresden. The ensemble's current 45 dancers have put together a diverse dance program for this festive occasion: On the evening of June 21, choreographies from various regions of Germany will be presented in colorful costumes, including works by its namesake Thea Maass and the Swiss choreographer Aenne Goldschmidt. The audience will be taken on a journey through the history of the ensemble – with memories of its beginnings and its development over seven decades. Six musicians from the ensemble will provide musical accompaniment. In addition to the Kinder- und Jugendtanzstudio der TU Dresden (Children's and Youth Dance Studio), former members of the ensemble will also take the stage and contribute to the anniversary celebration.

The event begins at 7:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased through the Comödie Dresden ticket service.
