In April Studentenwerk Dresden will present the 38th poster exhibition of Deutsches Studierendenwerk, "Raus aus dem Krisenmodus" (Eng. "Out of Crisis Mode") at two locations: the STUWERTINUM and the newly reopened "Neue Mensa". Students of graphic design, communication design, and visual communication were invited to submit their creative interpretations of how to cope with multiple threats such as climate change, the COVID-19 pandemic, inflation, wars, and the energy crisis. They were encouraged to express their personal perspectives on these crises, share their fears and hopes, and visualize their visions of a future beyond the crises.
A total of 518 students submitted 939 poster designs. A jury of experts selected the 58 best posters based on a digital pre-selection process. These were then evaluated by another jury of experts and awarded prize money totaling €10,000. The traveling exhibition showcases the 30 best posters.
