Short-term living in the residence hall Fritz-Löffler-Str. 16
„Here you will not only experience Germany, you will experience the entire world!“
For our international students who will be in Dresden for only one or two semesters, we offer residence in the special student community Fritz-Löffler-Straße 16. Due to its excellent proximity to the TU and HTW campuses and close proximity to downtown Dresden and the main railway station, it is perfectly suited to explore the city.
To use the relatively short stay in Dresden intensively and effectively for studies and student life, the facilities and services are designed to help a lot. An employee is specially assigned to this residence hall and is supported by our team of tutors. More individualized arrivals of students are therefore possible.

The rooms are 18 square meters and fully furnished with a bed, table, chair, wardrobe, and shelving. They also come equipped with bedding, bed linen, curtains, individual refrigerators and Internet access. The rent is 216 euros and a short-term contract fee will not be charged.
There are 26 separate rooms on five floors. Each floor has 4 bathrooms (shower / WC / sink) and a community kitchen where students can cook together. Common areas on each floor invite students to sit together, get to know each other, and share breakfast. The laundry room contains washers and dryers in the residence hall. The student club (GAG 18) and the large outdoor area can also be used by all residents.
In summary, we provide an "easy-going" stay: The thorough cleaning of the room, including washing curtains, is not the tenants’ responsibility. This costs 50 euros, from which the deposit repayment is reduced by the Studentenwerk. Initiated by the Studentenwerk and also by the tutors together with the residents, there are many events in the Fritz-Löffler-Straße 16. In addition to the International Coffee-Hour, there are language courses, cooking events, country- and game-nights.
All this will help to make any stay in Dresden unforgettable and you will end up saying, “Here I not only experienced Germany, I experienced the entire world!”
