The Studentenwerk Dresden has launched a new project. The Welcome tutors – an initiative for foreign students – would like to welcome you in Dresden!
Who we are
We are a group of students from different countries, who, just as you do, live in student halls and who would like to help you to feel comfortable.
With this tutor program, the Studentenwerk Dresden aims at providing a contact person for the new foreign students in their student halls.
What we are doing
Our work has 3 main focuses:
1. Arrival
In order to make your start and stay in Dresden as comfortable as possible, we are your direct contact persons in the dormitories, together with the janitors and network administrators. We support you according to your needs, from interpreting various formalities to the arrival in the student hall or clarification in cases of conflict.
2. Accompaniment
We will accompany you during your studies and help you with everything that could become an obstacle in your everyday life as a student. Do you have questions regarding living together in the student hall or do you need individual help? Then feel free to contact us!
3. Student life
During the semester we organize various activities and services for you. So you can take a break from the daily routine of university and learning/catching up on your studies and really live the student life 😉
