Question: On what criteria are the rooms allocated?
Answer:Available rooms are allocated dependant on the receipt date of your complete application documents in the Studentenwerk Dresden. Students have to apply for a residence hall room immediately after they have received their admission letter to university or in case of study courses without numerus clausus immediately after their application for university. Students with children or students with special needs are given preference as required.
If possible, we will take into consideration that students applying for courses of study via the German Central Office for University Admission (ZVS) might receive their admission to university only shortly before the semester begins. Wishes specified on your application will be given priority.
Applicants who have decided for WOMIKO are preferably accommodated in residence halls as disclosed according to WOMIKO.
As the number of available rooms is always limited - especially in the winter semester, please state precisely on your application documents how your application should be dealt with in case we cannot meet your wishes. (Please take into account the restrictions for the winter semester given on the application documents and choose one of the options A to E.)
