medicanti – Orchestra of the TU Dresden Faculty of Medicine

The orchestra “medicanti” of the TU Dresden Faculty of Medicine celebrated its 25-year anniversary in 2011.Originally founded as a chamber orchestra, it has grown into a symphony orchestra since 2003 under the successful leadership of Dresden conductor Wolfgang Behrend. Today the orchestra boasts some 60 members, about one third of them are from medicinal professions or educational institutions.

Rehearsals Wednesday 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. in the outpost of the Heinrich-Schütz-Konservatorium "Loge" / Orchester-Chor-Tanz-Zentrum (2nd row of houses, Bautzner Straße 19, 1st floor right)
Fee per half-year 78 EUR, reduced (students) 30 EUR
